Waco Tea Party!

The Waco Tea Party would like to thank everyone who came out to our fundraiser on Saturday. If you couldn't make it out and still wish to donate contact us via the website, we are working on a Pay Pal account to make it easier. Donations are not tax deductible.

The amount of support from all over the Central Texas area was breath taking to each of us on the committee and the volunteers! The patriots who attended were amazing and I personally wish to thank each of you who came out to support us. The volunteers deserve the biggest thanks, their tireless efforts are so appreciated. If you see a volunteer out and about, please stop them and thank them! Pictures and YouTube videos will be posted on our website shortly.

Why did we need to have a fundraiser? To pay for all the events, operations costs, and supplies among a host of other costs. No one volunteering or working with the Waco Tea Party is paid for their time. Our quarterly budget will be posted online so you can see where your donations are being spent, we believe in transparency!

Costs:

  • Fees
  • Insurance

I'm sure you are asking "What's next?"

The Waco Tea Party "Freedom Demonstration" will be at Waco Dodge on Valley Mills Drive in Waco from 3:00-6:00 (or whenever the crowd goes home).

Some have asked me why we are protesting for the Auto Industry, "We thought you were only protesting taxes and spending" or "Why are you protesting with a car dealer that got a bailout?"

The Waco Tea Party three "pillars" are limited government, free markets and fiscal responsibility. The Government involvement in the Auto Industry has shown that bailouts don't work, unless you are a lobbiest or a union. Secured creditors were not at the top of the list in the bankruptcy, the unions were. That means the American taxpayers are on the hook for all those "loans" the Auto Industry recieved. The money was spent, it went somewhere and someone has to repay it. Guess who that is? ME & YOU, the taxpayers.

If the Government runs our Heath Care Industry the way they've handled the Auto Industry it doesn't bode well for Americans.

Come out and join us tomorrow to support limited government powers, support private industry, support free markets, and protest high taxes. If we don't stand up shoulder to shoulder for our fellow Americans and business owners, who will?
