Yesterday Rep. Joe Barton of Texas (R) held a press conference to discuss the Republican alternative to ACES ... then proceeded to call it what it really should be called Continue Ruining Americans Prosperity or C.R.A.P. Go Joe!
The Republican plan, was unveiled yesterday. The plan outlines plans to encourage innovation, conservation, and American production of energy. The plan isn't perfect, but it's a start and an alternative to taxing Americans every time they flip a switch which the ACES act will do.
Americans need energy, we need new sources and updated infrastructure, we need to be more energy independent and we can't do that without looking at all alternatives. I don't know if the Republican plan "The American Energy Innovation Act" is what we really need, or the cost of it, but I believe we should be looking at both and contacting our Congressman and giving them our opinions of each plan. If you don't support either one, tell them that too!
